I've been trying out various 3D renderers that adhere to the RenderMan interface. Krzysztof Kowalczyk:  Too bad there is no way to develop for Symbian OS using just free tools  Nokia have a free development kit available for download or you can register and have it sent to you via CD-ROM. It uses GCC. It includes a windows based emulator of the phone but unfortunately to develop for the emulator you need Visual C++ 6.0. For development on the hardware itself you use just GCC though. They also have a free development kit for their other Symbian phone, the Nokia 9210 and 9290.   12:42:50 AM
